DIVING
Easter spaces available
There's still places for diving over the Easter period. So if you're thinking of coming down and want to get out on the boat, ring the centre now to book on for the Easter period. We'll be looking at a nice gentle get back in the water approach, so will be looking at Skomer Island and Stack Rock areas weather dependent. Plenty of seal action no doubt as is the case with this time of year.
COURSES
National Geographic Program
We're running a portal program for National Geographic Diver Course which will see underwater photography, divesite mapping, basic taxonomy of local underwater life, and bouyancy improvement skills taught over the weekend of the 28/29th April. This course is open to all, and includes National Geographic Diver almanac, binder, DVD, and all equipment hire including cameras if you haven't got your own. Boat fees are also included. Ring the shop to enroll and receive your NAtional Geographic pack.
BSAC & RYA Boat handling Courses
For those club members wishing to get up to speed on boat handling techniques, learn all about bouyage, rules of the road and chartwork navigation and be accreditted for an International Certificate of Competence, then the this course is a must for you. Running over the weekend of the 14/15th April you'll spend half a day in the class and the rest of the time out on the water learning various teachniques and procedures relating to man overboard, coming alongside, turning within a confined space, and picking up divers. Price is dependent upon number on the course. Ring the shop for further details or to book on.
Emergency First Response-Primary & Secondary Care with AED training
This course will be running on Tuesday 10th April at the centre. The course covers Basic Life support inlcuding secondary care and training on AED simulator. AEDs are becoming more common place now, so learn how to use them on this one day course.
EFR Instructor
Become an EFR instructor, and learn how to teach other the basic principles of primary & Secondary Care. This course also includes AED instructor training as well as care for children. 14th & 15th April
BSAC Nitrox Workshop
Our resident BSAC instructor will be conducting a BSAC Basic Nitrox course and workshop over the weekend of the 21/22nd April. This will include decompression and Oxygen toxicity theory, dive planning using EANx, Gas maixing and analysis as well as completing a couple of dives on a given mix. Bearing in mind the changes that are coming in regarding introduction to Nitrox at the Sport diver level, you'll find this course extremely beneficial and helpful, as well as being required for certain diver grades.Ring the centre for more info.
Open Water Scuba Instructor
We're running an IDC during April. Ring the shop for further details should you wish to become an instructor. Lots to discuss and don't have enough space to list it all here !!
