Viz, Puffins and the Seals are here and so is the HEADS UP MASK !!
Bank Holiday Diving & School holiday week
For those of you that are diving this weekend, we're having about 3-5m from shore and a little bit more round the islands. Our boats are fully booked for the Sat, Sun & Monday but there is still availability for Wednesday 30th May should anyone be around in the week wishing to have a dip. Ring Karen at the shop for more details and to book on.
VIZ BACK AT
For those of you that dived last weekend, you'll will have been pleased to finally have some visibility back ! Various divesites around SKomer Island had between 5-7m metres viz. Sightings of seals, puffins and porpoise were enjoyed by many venturing into the marine reserve. Not so great Viz around Stacks and Hens and CHicks about 4-5m, but still plenty to see. Couple of octopus and a rare lumpsucker were the talk of the divers from diveboat 'Grace' at the weekend as well as the porpoise spotted in Jack Sound.
HEADS UP MASK DEMO DAY
For those of you that have been following the Oceanic heads up datamask, you'll be pleased to know that it's coming to West Wales Divers for a demo weekend on the 28th & 29th July. This advancement in technology currently used by military divers will see you being able to monitor your depth, time, nitrogen loading, NDL and much more besides with a simple movement of the eye !!Spaces are limited so please contact Craig or Karen at the shop to reserve your space. Now the weather is with us (tempting fate now !) there's mid week after work diving going on. For those of you that may be interested in having a dip mid week contact Dave H or Ceri at the shop for details on where and when. As the days get longer, we'll also be getting the boat out on the Friday evening before it gets too dark. As usual, all are welcome to come and join in, including the ritualistic beer in the bar after.
