THE SEASON SO FAR
Sightings & Conditions
Well the weather has been on our side up until today. Three weeks of fairly constant sunshine, and a water temp up to 11 degrees, with some average viz of 4-6m depending on the state of the tide and where we've been diving.
Rye Rocks on Skomer Island saw Cath, Colin and Karen have their fins chewed on by the resident seals.
Tim and Pauline from Swansea win the award for most sightings of octopus on one dive !! Hens and Chicks had a couple of them just last week. Also sighted by Dave H and Advanced student Chris at Martin's Haven on Saturday 21st.
Dave H aslo had several pipefish in Martin's Haven on Saturday's night dive.
So plenty of life in, and the fun hasn't even started.......
Congratulations to:
Kate, Jason, Neil, & Dave H for recently completing their EFR instructor ratings with Karen. Standard of delivery by the students was fantastic, and they now join other staff members at WWDC in being able to conduct first aid courses including AED and care for children.
Gail, Tristan, Chris and Colin on becoming open water divers. Chris has also gone on to complete his advance course, and Gail and Tristan are set to comeplete their national Geographic program this month to become WWDC's first National Geographic divers of this year.
Marc & Fran for completing and refreshing their EFR course and staying current in first aid. Marc will be putting it into practice again this weekend by comeplting his Rescue Course. Good Luck !!
Coming Up
Plenty more diving coming up over the coming month. Bank holiday is booked out accommodation wise and boat front, but we still have plenty of shore dives going on. BIG BBQ going on Saturday night (bank holiday) and all invited. Still room on holidays to Maldives and Red sea, and we're itching for the smalls !!
Lastly Thanks to you ....!!
To all of our regulars and new divers alike, thanks for the positive comments about the refurb ! Nice to see people noticing the difference....!
