West Wales Diving Centre is an award winning training centre with the following merits:
- PADI Five Star Centre- PADI’s highest award, symbolising professionalism, a full range of diving services and exceptional facilities. All WWDC instructors are PADI qualified and HSE approved and teach to the highest standards, making your course safe, informative and enjoyable. WWDC is one of the few centres nationwide that has all its training facilities on one site, including a heated pool. This enables flexible training times, maximum skill development time, and ease of logistics for students. Thus we are able to offer intensive residential courses or modular classes to meet your personal schedules.
- Our Open Water sites are all sea-based, not quarries or reservoirs, accessed both by shore or boat accordingly. This enables you to experience realistic local environmental conditions, that gives you more appropriate training to what your qualification yields. These sites are within 5-10mins from the Dive centre, within the Skomer National Marine reserve - one of only two in mainland Britain. The protected variety of sea creatures in these areas is an added bonus to your course.
- Instructor Development Centre- WWDC conducts the full range of PADI professional dive courses for those wishing to persue a career in diving from ‘Divemaster’ through to 'IDC Staff Instructor’, including speciality instructor ratings and ‘Emergency First Response Instructor’. Karen is a Course Director, who has run dive centres abroad and has been teaching diving for 14 years. She is a qualified Maths and Physics teacher and brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge, that she freely shares with her instructor candidates.
National Geographic Dive Centre- which meets and surpasses five star requirements. Only a handful of centres in the UK have this level of dive centre status, and it allows WWDC to promote the ‘National Geographic Diver’ course which promotes in itself exploration, conservation and education about the aquatic realm. Contact us for further details of how you can become a National Geographic Diver.
